In other pop culture bites, this week it was announced that teen rapper and internet star Lil Tay and her brother had died. Only for it to be a hoax. We ask how the media was hoodwinked by a supposed hacker. And, rapper Tory Lanez has been sentenced to 10 years jail for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Good riddance. Riley Keough, actress who most recently starred as Daisy Jones In Daisy Jones and the Six, and granddaughter of Elvis Presley has been profiled in Vanity Fair. In the piece titled Riley Keough on Growing Up Presley, Losing Lisa Marie, and Inheriting Graceland by Britt Hennemuth, a bunch of revelations come to light. We discuss the weirder ones, including her family connection to the Kardashians. On the 2nd of August, the musician Lizzo, was named in a lawsuit that accused her of creating a hostile work environment. We go over the allegations and discuss how the performer is in hot water. Melbourne Fashion Festival is beginning in a couple of weeks and while they champion small brands and slow fashion, they've decided to partner with Kmart, including hosting a runway. We read from this opinion piece and ask why they've made this choice. Last week, Harry Styles won Album of The Year for Harry’s House at the 2023 Grammy awards.
