The Wide Bay Highway Patrol is urging drivers to slow down after a string of high range speeding offences recently. Just days apart, officers caught three different drivers all doing more than 40 kms over the limit on the Bruce Highway. Two at Duckinwilla and the other at Cherwell.

The baby boy was transported from an Electra Street residence to the Bundaberg Hospital on February 27, where he was then airlifted to Brisbane. He died in the Queensland Children's Hospital yesterday.  Detectives are piecing together events in the lead up to the boy's death. If you can help, please reach out.

Two hospitalised after separate motorcycle crashes

Firstly, on Saturday night a 28-year-old man suffered serious injuries crashing his bike into a fence on Old Maryborough Road.  Then yesterday a car and a dirt bike collided on Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road. A woman suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to Hervey Bay hospital in a stable condition.
