We Fact Up

The final episode of We Fact Up - Coronavirus Special

Today marks the final episode of We Fact Up. It's been a hilarious and fact-filled time spent meandering over some of the deepest of life's quandaries. We've pondered over how to parachute a pig from an airplane, whether ducks would make good fighting animals and if a squirrel is sexy to other squirrels (there were some other things in there too, but we forget most of them). Today is the day that Dave, Redd and Martine finally, after 5 years, conquered the internet. There are no more questions to answer. We have answered them all.  Thanks to everyone for your support, messages, likes, subscribes, reviews, questions and above all, your patience with three very stupid men. We have had the wildest and funniest time having these ridiculous conversations with each other and loved having you along for ride. We end the show with a smile, a laugh and an episode about all the plagues that have ruined things for people in the past, just like Corona has ruined our podcast. Please enjoy!  AND ONE FINAL THING - before you bury your face in your hands and cry snot filled blubber into the sleeves of your shirt... DO NOT FEAR! We do have something exciting planned. We Fact Up may be over, but there are bigger things in the works and will be revealed in due time. So stay subscribed to the show, stay smiling and stay fact! Because the fact will always be back baby.

You know that moment when you've had one too many beers and thought... yes, this would be a brilliant idea. Well Porky Bickar may have been suffering from that very affliction. In this episode we play the game 'Funny Prank or Fire-able Offence', debate whether a Volcano always needs to go up and learn why Porky Bickar pissed off his entire town.

What was the Great Balloon Fiasco & opening umbrellas indoors?

In 1986 something happened in Cleveland that went unnoticed, but it shook the earth to its core and changed the way we view balloons forever. And when you open an umbrella indoors people say it's bad luck but is that just because you might smash a vase, or are the reasons far deeper and more concerning?

A very strange tree at the end of a news broadcast and a president who decided that the best way to run a country was through the centre of the Earth. So many questions, so little... sense. It would be wise of you to listen as both of the answers may save your life someday. It would be a very weird day, but it could happen.

What was the great goldfish swallowing craze of 1939?

There's been many crazes in the history of human existence. Yo Yos, Hoola Hoops, Human Rights. One such craze was fish swallowing which swept through the United States in the 30s. Join us as we ask why, where and when this all took place. Well, not when, it was clearly 1939. Why are bananas bent and where did break the ice originate?

Endangered and tasty, these delightfully bent fruits are God's gift to humanity, but why did God choose to give them that perfect little bend in them that makes it fit so snug in your hands (and mouth. And possibly other areas)? We go to all corners of our minds, including the Kirk Cameron corner, to find the answers. Plus, looking to make friends, well we give you the BEST conversation starter to help 'break the ice' yourself. It'll change your life! Oh and will Martine find love on Tinder.... let's see. Where did to butter someone up originate and why do they call it firing someone?

With the royal wedding in full swing we know Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be doing some buttering up, but where did the term come from & why do we still use it? Plus Donald Trump is all about firing people (he actually tried to trademark the term "you're fired"), so we tried to figure out who would the first person to actually fire someone? The answer will surprise you. Hosted by Dave Zwolenski and Matthew (Redd) Peterson. www.wefactup.com www.facebook.com/wefactup

Why are black cats unlucky and why do cosmonauts take guns to space?

It wasn't great for Neo when he saw the black cat in the Matrix, but why do the rest of us think of them as bad luck? Plus we find out why Russian Astronauts, also known as cosmonauts, took a shotgun into space and how that may have been the worst decision they ever made. And that's saying something. Why do we kiss, Scottish float and proposing on one knee?

It’s time that the We Fact Uppers broke from tradition and rather than giving you just one fact, we’re now upping our output and letting your ears devour three. That’s almost triple! Take a listen to the reason we kiss each other on the lips (not just me and Redd, but like, everyone), how two ladies ordering a Scottish Float changed the law in England and why people get down on one knee to propose. It’s a good’n! Hosted by Dave Zwolenski and Matthew (Redd) Peterson.
